Bio:

Brent Harris

Brent Harris leads Meta's wearables business. He directs go-to-market for Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, and Meta display glasses and wrist products. Since he took the job three years ago, Meta has sold millions of devices and sales have grown more than forty-fold.

He also serves on the advisory board of Hiro Capital, a venture firm investing in AI, spatial computing, and the next generation of defense and space.

Before Wearables, Harris was vice president for global affairs, reporting to Meta’s president Nick Clegg. He built the Oversight Board, an independent body that reviews Facebook’s hardest content decisions. He also handled some of Meta's highest stakes policy decisions and government negotiations.

Harris started his career in public service. He was counsel to the presidential commission investigating the BP oil spill, the largest in American history. Later, he was an architect of landmark partnerships that helped phase out harmful climate pollutants, protect Indonesia's rainforests, and build housing and infrastructure in California.

Harris holds bachelor’s, master’s, and law degrees from Stanford University, where he was an editor of the Stanford Law Review. He has authored op-eds for the New York Times, and serves as co-chair of Joint Venture Silicon Valley. He lives in California with his family and an exuberant dog, who defies all governance.
