Reminder for Members: EE310 Weekly Seminars
The SystemX seminar is back for Autumn Quarter! The first talk of the quarter will be on Thursday, September 28. Each seminar will be announced on the SystemX Events page.
Fall 2023 Selected Speaker List:
- AI Processor Architecture and Implementation: Bendik Kleveland, Cerebras Systems
- FPGA and Special Processors: Andreas Oloffson (Founder Zero ASIC) and Ilya Ganusov, Intel
- Alternative Energy: Merlin Solar
- We plan to have additional speakers in both Architecture and Alternative Energy. These topics are related, training GPT3 (a legacy AI model) took 1GW-h, that’s one nuclear power station output for 1 hour! Its successor, GPT4, is estimated to require 6X that amount of energy.
If you are already subscribed to the SystemX seminar mailing list, you will receive weekly email announcements with the Zoom link and information on how to access recordings.
