Over the next few years, food making robots are expected to be prevalent in our lives. The speaker describes this trend, shows video demonstrations of some commercially available food making robots and indicates what we could expect in the future.
Dr. Deepak Sekar founded Chowbotics, which introduced the industry's first fresh food making robots. There are now 150+ Chowbotics robots around the world, in hospitals, universities, grocery stores and offices. Under Deepak's leadership, Chowbotics raised more than $20M in venture capital and doubled its revenue and bookings every quarter in 2019. Fast Company named Chowbotics one of the world’s most innovative companies. Deepak is an inventor with 150 issued patents, of which a dozen are used in every major smartphone. He received his B. Tech from IIT Madras and his MS and PhD from Georgia Tech. In 2019, he was named among the 100 coolest people in food and drink by Business Insider.
